FINAL REFLECTION

Experience
I learned a lot through out this module. First, this module taught me more about the basic knowledge about advertising and what is it like to be a real designer; the work flow, the time management, the criticall thinking, and the work under pressure. I was always doubted myself and felt so insecure because of my design skill in using software, but I knew that I had tons of ideas to be shared (that is why I want to be a designer), to share my ideas, my experiences, my creativity, and so on. Second, in this module, I experienced more about design process which was very crucial and needed a lot of time, consideration, and thoughts of. Started from the idea sketches, how I was forced to come up with 10 sketches each week and it were supposed to be ideas that's visually good or twisted. The thing that Mr Vinod kept repeating to us was "Direct the idea to the SMP/USP!". "remember the SMP/USP". That was because it was very important while sketching the ideas, because sometimes I got an idea that was very clever but did not reflect the SMP. Third, I surprisingly really enjoyed the lecture part of this module, I wanted to know more about advertising and marketing and I was really looking forward to read the book that I borrowed from the library, or just read the presentation slides that Mr Vinod provided to us in Times. Lastly, through out the process of the projects I learned that execution was really important. Any simple ideas with a great execution could produce a great advertisement as well. In my experience, I was challanged to do an advertisement with my own photographs. It was fun taking pictures of dogs and cats, but it took me a lot of time because it was hard to actually get a perfect shoot for the content of the advertisement campaign that I was proposed to do.

Observation
From this module, I observed that I gained a deeper understanding about how advertising works in real life. There were many different strategies that can be used throught the course, Moreover, I realized that I grew a lot from this course and also understand more about the design process. There were many different strategies we used throughout the course, I think the one that helped me the most was the weekly forum questions. It's just a nice way to test my knowledge and get things stuck in your memory. Also, it trained us to be more critical and analytical when it comes to work attitude.

Findings
Everything that I have learned so far definitely will help me through the next journey. Learning about advertising and marketing from this module wasn't enough and I need to gain more in the future. I need to learn from my mistakes that I made in the past, and ofcourse be more confident about myself. For the projects that has been done in this module, I feel like there are so many things that I need to pursue more, especially when it comes it animating a graphic/photograph. I think that is my weakness, and I need to learn more about how to use the sofware in order to produce a great animation, because nowadays people wants to see  moving pictures, everything must be animated. Overall, I really enjoyed this module.
