The proposal outlines your research topic and area, setting a stage for further development in the research process in this module.
Requirements
Students are to select a topic, within the realms of multimedia, art and design, and visual culture, in which they are interested to study, by focusing in a specific area in that topic. The selection should be based not only on interest but also on adequate and substantial research from reading of relevant academic sources.

- Students to identify relevant sources of secondary research.
- Students to examine the relation of the research materials to the research problem.
Experience
I encountered some difficulties while doing this project. First, it was hard for me to choose a topic of interest for my research topic. It took me around 2 weeks to actually came up with the topic that I wanted to do a research for. At the first presentation, I was doing Graphic Design and Fashion Industry. Then, I changed my topic of interest in the following week. I was having trouble as well doing the second topic. I was so confused about arranging my sentences and making the problem statement. If my problem statement wasn't clear enough then I couldn't be able to make my research objective and research question. Thus, I really need Ms. Jinchi's feedback and guidance to help develop my research.
Observation
I have done a research paper back in High School. Unfortunately, my research was in Bahasa Indonesia. Thus, although the format was not that different I observed that there were some aspects that I needed to learn more about. The first thing was the referencing format because in this research we were given a task to use APA format which I was not familiar with. Moreover, I observed there a lot of research that needed to be conducted while doing this project.
Finding
Being a graphic student is not only about designing, drawing, illustrating, and so on but also about being critical, creative, and able to solve a problem. We need to be able to communicate and deliver a message with our design, also think creatively to solve a case/problem.
