FEEDBACK

Week 2
We did a group discussion and told each others what we liked most of the first 10 logos that we had collected. I told the class that I liked 'Glossier' logo, but Ms Lilian said that the logo was too following the trend, and it was to simple. However, the other logo which is the 'G' logo of the brand was pretty interesting and had a characteristic.

Week 3
For this week, Ms Lilian told me to gather more information about the brand and give comments and thoughts about the logo. Moreover, I was worried about my scrapbook because it was too bulky but Ms Lilian told me that it was okay and I should keep going on my scrapbook.

Week 4
For this week feedback, Ms Lilian told me to give sources if I got the information from somewhere. Also, I need to put all of my thoughts and comment towards the brand/logo on the scrap book.

Week 5
From the previous weeks, I made a lot of progression. I did more research for the brands that I had collected before and give more thoughts about every aspect of the brand or the logo. Ms Lilian told me to complete the last 20 logos and keep doing the good work. 







REFLECTION

Experience
I found this project really exciting collecting logos and make a scrapbook to it. It wasn't that hard to collect and compile the logos. However, I don't really consume a lot of products (especially food) because I usually cook. So, what I did was collecting all the packaging that I have at home, ask other friends not throw away the packaging of their foods, stuff, after they used it, and sometimes I went to a convenience store just to buy a snack, bottled water, or anything whether I needed or not, just to collect the packaging. Moreover, I found it quite hard to give my own opinion about the logos, and find the right words to describe it. Thus, I did a little research, just to know the company background or the brand history to help me give comment to the brand.

Observation
I observed from this project that I need to explore more about a brand in general. Not only the characteristic of the logo and the story behind it but also how to do a good branding in order to promote the brand. However, as a design student, the visual aspect is very important and I need to read more about the visual aspect of branding.

Findings
From this project, I learned that we need to be organized in order to collect and gather our work. Not only organized when compiling the task, but also organized while we gathering the info. Moreover, in this project, I could express myself more when giving comments towards a brand, and also make myself be more critical.
